Privacy Policy

1. Overview

SingleRadar is a dating app that enables users to discover other singles nearby. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, for what purpose and on what legal basis we process it, and what rights you have.

2. Data Collected and Processing Purposes

Registration and Profile

During registration we collect your email address and password (via Firebase Authentication), as well as the profile information you voluntarily provide (e.g. display name, age, gender, description). Profile photos and other media you upload are stored in Firebase Storage. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract).

Location Data

To show you singles nearby, the app processes your device location (GPS and/or network location). Location data is only collected during active use and is not stored permanently. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

Push Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

If you have enabled push notifications, a device token is generated and stored via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver messages to you (e.g. new matches, chat messages). FCM is operated by Google LLC. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

Premium features are processed via Google Play Billing. Payment processing is handled exclusively by Google; we do not receive full payment details (e.g. credit card numbers). We only receive a purchase confirmation and transaction status. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract).

Firebase / Google Services (Firestore, Analytics)

We use Firebase Firestore as a database to store user profiles, matches and messages. We optionally use Firebase Analytics to anonymously evaluate app usage and improve usability. Firebase is a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Data processing is based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR. Google Play Services

The app uses Google Play Services for basic Android functionality (e.g. security updates, crash reports). These services are operated by Google LLC and are subject to the Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

3. Retention Period

Your data is stored as long as your account is active or as required to provide our services. After deleting your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, unless statutory retention obligations exist. Statutory retention periods (e.g. tax obligations of up to 10 years) remain unaffected.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your data to third parties. Data is only shared with service providers who support us in providing our services (in particular Google/Firebase as described in Section 2), or when we are legally obligated to do so.

6. Data Security

We use technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Data is transmitted encrypted via TLS/HTTPS. Firebase services are certified to ISO 27001 and SOC 2/3.

7. Minors

SingleRadar is exclusively for persons aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that a minor has registered, their data will be deleted immediately.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as needed to reflect changes in our data processing practices or new legal requirements. The current version is always available at singleradar.app/datenschutz.
